The original single-pin corner protectors have gone, but the holes for the pins remain. Suitable replacements will be found in due course.

The runners for the shelf inside the box are actually formed from a solid block of wood with a wide groove down its centre. The screws holding the blocks in evidently do not go through the thickness of the sides.

The panel on which the Cannon XLRs sit is black (engraved trafolite). Later, these panels were grey to match the control panels of the amp.
